We have one staff report this evening, which is titled Tree Inspection Policy. This will be introduced by Director Gonda of Park Operations.

Is this on? Yeah, perfect. Thank you. I'm a candidate here, director of park operations, and I'm joined with Joe McLeod is our associate director of urban forestry. Before I get into the presentation, I just want to also recognize the multiple staff, not only at the park board, but engineering, RAFM, risk services and legal that were instrumental in tabling the policy that is meant to be citywide. So.

So the purpose of the presentation is to have the board receive the report and adopt the new tree inspection policy. The report summarizes key changes under the new tree inspection policy and steps to implementation. The policy establishes one comprehensive framework for all city and park trees with a consistent practical and safety focus.

We take on this important work on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and TTsleil-Waututh First Nations and that the lands have been stewarded by them in memorial.

The city and parks are responsible for over 1 million trees.
