CD-1 Rezoning 2806-2890 East Broadway and Kaslo Street

Summary
- A rezoning application by Sightline Properties Ltd. proposes to redevelop a block-sized site at East Broadway and Kaslo Street (26 parcels) from low-density residential (R1-1) into a large mixed-use, high-density development under a new CD-1 zoning district.

- Because the application is consistent with all relevant official development plans and is majority residential, the Vancouver Charter prohibits Council from holding a public hearing for this rezoning.
- The General Manager of Planning, Urban Design and Sustainability recommends approval in principle, subject to conditions including a Housing Agreement to secure the below-market rental units.
