Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is committed to supporting truth and reconciliation and to use this opportunity to amplify local First Nations voices and culture through our work in the community.

For our first order of business tonight, we need a motion for the board to go into meetings prior to the next regular board meeting, which are closed to the public pursuant to section 165.2 sub 1 of the Vancouver Charter to discuss matters related to the paragraphs outlined in the agenda. Do I see a mover? Commissioner Jensen. Seconder? Commissioner Bastiwanski. Vote by show of hands. All in favor of in-camera meetings, please raise your hands. That's unanimous. Thank you, commissioners. The next is the approval of the minutes for the special board meeting Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The commissioners received those minutes. They were circulated. And let's do these separately. So any comments on the minutes? Then I'll get a mover in favor of the minutes. Commissioner Jensen, seconder, Commissioner Baskovansky, all in favor of the special board meeting? Please raise your hand. I see five, six commissioners. Do we have? Okay. Commissioner Hare, Jensen, Christensen, Digby, Baskervansky, and Verdi, and all those opposed. And abstaining is Commissioner Howard on special board meeting. Same for the regular board meeting held Monday, April 13th. I did submit corrections for that, and they've been adopted. They've been inserted in your minutes. mover for this for April 13 Commissioner Jensen the seconder Commissioner Christensen all those in favor of those minutes please raise your hand I see it's unanimous thank you so much commissioners
