And today, I do want to call again for political courage from particularly our provincial leaders. You may have seen in the news the BC government's facing serious challenges with DRIPA, the legislation that's intended to advance reconciliation. And I don't intend to make any recommendations or judgments on that in this land acknowledgement, but to say that it reflects a need that all of us... commissioners and voters in Vancouver and all across BC we must be ready to support the honour of the crown as we work towards resolution of land claims in BC. The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is committed to supporting truth and reconciliation and to use this opportunity to amplify local First Nation voices in culture through our work in the community. First order of business this evening. We need a motion for the board to go into meetings prior to the next regular board meeting, which are closed to the public pursuant to section 165.2 sub 1 of the Vancouver Charter to discuss matters related to the paragraphs outlined in the agenda.
