Okay.

Well, we are going to move right along to new business. We do have one item on the agenda, which is requests for leaves of absence. And so the motion is being circulated to Council.

Clerk 16:18:51

Hold it up.

So, councillors, does that all look accurate?

Oh, Councillor Domonato?

Thanks, Mayor. I just started talking to clerks. I just did men's April 22nd to all day for civic business still. Thanks.

Thank you. I'll advance myself. Councillor Bligh?

Hi, thanks very much. I just, and I'm not sure if it needs to be noted for the record, but the leave of absence request for April 14th and 15th is a medical leave.

Thank you very much.

Okay.

Great. So can we please have, could someone move a motion? Councillor Zhou, thank you. Seconded by Councillor Bligh. Council, any discussion? All those in favour, say yay. All those opposed, say nay. Great. The motion carries unanimously. Council, is there any other new business? And I actually have something here.

It's actually with a pretty heavy heart that we'd like to sort of recognize the passing of Howard Grant. He was just a revered elder and... very good friend from Musqueam Indian Band. Howard, as we all know, was a respected leader, a cultural steward, and a proud representative of his people. And his contributions to strengthening community, preserving culture and language, and advancing understanding will have a very long-lasting impact across Musqueam and beyond. So I just want to say that our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his sons, Member of Parliament Wade Grant and Musqueam Councillor Gordon Grant, his Musqueam friends and the entire Musqueam community during this incredibly difficult time. And we just hope his legacy will continue to guide and inspire future generations to come. Once again, it's with a lot of sadness that we acknowledge the passing of a very good, dear friend of a lot of us in this chamber. Councillor Fry.
