Enact Arts and Culture Events Zoning By-law Amendment

Summary

• Amended the Zoning and Development By-law to remove the word "indoor" from the "Arts and Culture Indoor Event" use definition and rename it "Arts and Culture Event."
• Events of an artistic or cultural nature (visual, performing, media, literary, craft, or interdisciplinary arts) occurring no more than 6 days per month may now take place outdoors as well as indoors.
• Amendment applies across a wide range of commercial, industrial, and heritage area zone schedules and CD-1 by-laws.
• Follows a public hearing held October 19, 2023.
